CHATSWORTH, California, United States — Global pharmaceutical technology company Teledyne Hanson, part of the Teledyne Pharma group of Teledyne Technologies, has greatly expanded the viability of its CD14 dissolution tester with the new addition of firmware in the Chinese, Korean and Spanish languages. The new firmware will incorporate those languages and English in the user interface and printed reports.

English, Chinese, Korean, and Spanish now will be standard options on new Teledyne Hanson CD14 testers and available retroactively through a firmware download available for free by contacting local distributors. Those can be found under the “Find Your Rep" tab at teledynehanson.com.
“Teledyne Hanson products are known globally throughout the pharmaceutical industry for their accuracy, durability and ease of use, and assimilating these additional languages into the firmware will allow us to help more people and command an even greater presence in countries where Chinese, Korean or Spanish is the primary language," said Keith Hamman, vice president and general manager, Hanson Research and Teledyne Pharma. “Over time, as we upgrade electronics in our other products and services, those will follow suit."
The Teledyne Hanson 14-vessel CD14 Comparative Dissolution Tester runs two methods simultaneously or independently, ideal for bioequivalence studies of generic vs. innovator drug formulations or high throughput labs. The 14 stirring positions allow for 6+1 or 12+2 configurations for improved workload efficiency in R&D, formulations, QC, and stability-testing labs. The extensive 21 CFR Part 11 tools, including fingerprint logon capability and remote server report storage options, the CD14 platform provides GMP labs with strong regulatory compliance assurance.

About Teledyne Hanson
Teledyne Hanson is a global technology company specializing in analytical test instruments for the pharmaceutical industry. Teledyne Hanson helps ensure the world's pharmaceuticals are pure, safe, and effective by manufacturing equipment that sets the global standard for quality, innovation, and long-term value. Teledyne Hanson instruments are used by scientists in over 75 countries worldwide and are supported by the industry's top customer service team.
Hanson Research was founded in 1951 and acquired in 2016 by Teledyne Technologies, a leading provider of sophisticated instrumentation, digital imaging products and software, aerospace and defense electronics, and engineered systems. Hanson Research pioneered the development of dissolution testing instruments. Dissolution testing determines the release rate of an active pharmaceutical ingredient in tablet or capsule form as it dissolves into solution. Teledyne Hanson also provides diffusion testing instrumentation used to analyze drug release characteristics as it permeates through skin or membrane structures. Finally, Teledyne Hanson's newer physical test instruments examine properties such as tablet disintegration and powder flowability.
Teledyne Hanson's Analytical Research Center provides analytical lab services in support of pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and cosmeceutical research and development, manufacturing, quality control, and regulatory compliance. The ARC, located in Chestnut Ridge, New York, leverages Hanson's decades of experience and innovation in the fields of dissolution, diffusion, and disintegration testing. The ARC also serves as a demonstration and training center for Teledyne Hanson analytical testing instruments.
